Sliabh liag Athletic Club was formed in 1990 to promote athletics in the Carrick, Kilcar and Glencolumbcille areas.
Sliabh liag Athletic Club is registered with Athletics Ireland. Atheletes from the club have won numerous National medals in a wide variety of events, and have had athletes selected for International Competitions mostly in Celtic Games and Schools Internationals.
The club opened the new training facilities at Carrick VS, with a focus on improving future performances.
